Surrendered PKK militants released

Two PKK militants who earlier surrendered to security forces were acquitted and released by a court in Diyarbakir.

The two identified only with their initials E.T. and S.D. testified at two separate hearings to the 6th heavy Crimes Court in Diyarbakir.

The two said they did not particioate in any terrorist attacks and were not involved in violence. they told the court how they joined the PKK and why they quit the terrorist group.

The two were acquitted by the court and released according to the Enhanced Repentance Law.
