Activities of the terrorist organization PKK in Finland and the fight against terrorism came up during Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan's discussions with his Finnish counterpart
Alexander Stubb in Helsinki on Monday.

Babacan informed Stubb that the PKK is active in Finland. In return, Stubb told Babacan that "when details are provided, the Finnish government will take action (on terrorist organization PKK) within the framework of laws that exist in Finland".

Stubb informed Babacan that Finland condemns PKK terrorism.

Babacan-Stubb talks also focused on bilateral relations, Turkey's EU process, Cyprus, the Caucasus, EU-NATO cooperation and the closure case filed against Turkey's Justice and Development (AK) Party.

In regard to Turkey's EU process, Stubb reportedly told Babacan that "sooner or later, there will be light for Turkey at the end of the EU tunnel".
