Flying Broom Women's Film Festival starts in Ankara

The 11th International Flying Broom Women's Film Festival kicked off in Ankara on Thursday with the theme "Be Yourself and Create Your Dream."

Films of 88 female directors from 27 countries will be screened during the 8-day event.

Twelve films from Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, France, the Netherlands, Iran, Spain, Israel, Poland, and Turkey, will compete to win the International Federation of the Film Critics (FIPRESCI) award.

The Flying Broom Asspciation has been organizing the women's film festival since 1998.
