Turkish Cypriot President Mehmet Ali Talat and his Greek Cypriot counterpart Demetris Christofias agreed to continue contacts to reunify Cyprus, Turkish Cypriot sources reported.

Talat and Christofias attended a reception organized at the buffer zone by the Slovakian Embassy in Nicosia on Wednesday night.

The two leaders decided to continue talks and announced their decision to guests at the reception.

Turkish Cypriot Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer, representatives of some Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot political parties were also present at the event hosted by Slovakian Ambassador Anna Turenicova at the Ledra Palace Hotel.

This was the third contact between the two leaders --only one of them was formal-- since Christofias' election in February.
