Turkish Armed Forces to procure 2,720 military vehicles

Countdown has started for the Turkish Armed Forces' one of the large-scale procurement tender in recent years to renew its motor vehicle fleet.

The Undersecretariat for the Defense Industry (SSM) has initiated the procurement of 2,720 military vehicles. The SSM has called on related supplier firms to participate in a tender to be held for the supply of 2,720 tactical wheel military vehicles needed by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK).

A statement released by the SSM noted that the vehicles be purchased from domestic firms and that the procurement will be divided into four groups. Only major Turkish defense industry companies may compete to meet the needs of the Turkish Land Forces that will procure 2,720 "tactical vehicles", upon a tender invitation by the SSM.

Firms invited to participate in the tender are AKSA Industry Machine Inc. Trade Co., AKSAM Automotive Industry, BMC Industry, FNSS Defense Systems, HEMA Defense, MAN Turkiye Inc., Mercedes Benz Turk, Nurol Holding Inc., OTOKAR Bus Body Ind. Inc., PI Machinery-Automotive Co. and UZEL-SINLAK Defense Systems Industry.

Those will be used for secure and fast transportation of troops, weapons and other equipment in battle fields.
