The ordinary MGK meeting started at 1.30 p.m. and lasted about four hours. The domestic and international developments were evaluated at the meeting.

According to an explanation following the meeting measures taken against terror and issues related to the isolation on Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) were discussed in detail.

The statement the attacks against our unity were evaluated in detail and it is decided that we will continue to carry out measures against terror with the support of our nation. "All measures against terror will continue to be implemented under any circumstances," it said.

Regarding TRNC the statement said "The isolations on TRNC cannot be accepted, and Turkey will continue its support to the country."

It is noteworthy that there weren't even a single mention on the cross-border operation as expected. Before the meeting there were claims that the council will also evaluate a cross-border operation as Prime Minister late Tuesday said they didn't cross out the possibility of such an operation and the government is ready to provide necessary permits.
